Our Vision

VHO vision is to build a society in Afghanistan where every individual has equal opportunities, rights, and access to essential services. We envision a future where poverty, illiteracy, and inequality are eradicated, and communities are empowered to thrive and contribute to the development of their nation.

Our Mission

Vulnerable Helping Organization (VHO) to improving the lives of marginalized communities in Afghanistan by addressing their immediate needs and empowering them to create sustainable change. We strive to provide access to basic necessities, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, while promoting social justice, gender equality, and peace.

Target Beneficiaries:

VHO aims to serve marginalized communities in Afghanistan, including but not limited to:

  • Women and girls: We prioritize the empowerment and inclusion of women and girls, ensuring they have access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and protection from gender-based violence.
  • Children and youth: We focus on providing quality education, healthcare, and psychosocial support to children and youth affected by conflict, poverty, or displacement.
  • Rural communities: We work towards improving the living conditions of rural communities by providing access to clean water, sanitation facilities, agricultural support, and income-generating activities.
  • Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees: We support IDPs and refugees by providing emergency relief assistance, shelter, healthcare services, education, and livelihood support.

Specific Issues Addressed: VHO aims to address the following specific issues in Afghanistan:

  • Poverty alleviation: We strive to reduce poverty by providing economic opportunities, vocational training, microfinance support, and entrepreneurship development programs.
  • Education: We work towards ensuring access to quality education for all children and adults in Afghanistan through the establishment of schools, scholarships, teacher training programs, and adult literacy initiatives.
  • Healthcare: We focus on improving healthcare services by establishing medical clinics, mobile health units, vaccination campaigns, maternal health programs, and awareness campaigns on hygiene and disease prevention.
  • Gender equality: We promote gender equality by advocating for women’s rights, providing gender-sensitive services, empowering women through skills training and income-generating activities, and raising awareness about gender-based violence.
  • Peacebuilding and reconciliation: We facilitate peacebuilding initiatives, dialogue sessions, and community reconciliation programs to foster social cohesion, resolve conflicts, and promote a culture of peace.

By addressing these issues and working with our target beneficiaries, we aim to contribute to the overall development and stability of Afghanistan.
